How to reverse audio

  1. Open your audioPress "Open audio file". It is reversed as soon as it opens.
  2. Reverse one part only (optional)Undo, select a part, then choose Effects → Reverse.
  3. SavePress Export.

Reverse twice to get the original back.

Play any sound backwards

Reversing audio flips it so the end plays first. It is a simple trick with many uses: spooky effects, creative transitions in videos, games with friends, or checking hidden sounds in a recording. Echoly reverses the whole file, or only the part you select, instantly.

Reverse just one part

Select a word, a cymbal or a single note before choosing Reverse, and only that part flips. A reversed cymbal or piano note placed before the real one creates the classic "swell" used in many songs.

Combine with other effects

Add reverb before reversing and then reverse again for a ghostly "reverse reverb" lead-in, or slow the reversed part down to make it even stranger.

Nothing is lost

Reversing twice gives back the original exactly, and Ctrl+Z undoes it at any time. Export as MP3, WAV, FLAC or OGG when you like the result.
